Drawing on over two decades of expertise at the intersection of data protection, risk, and technology governance, Sarah Clarke brings a precision-focused approach to structuring responsible oversight for complex digital systems. As a principal consultant at Logical AI Governance, she helps organizations design and mature governance programs that address the evolving risks of AI adoption with speed, clarity, and integrity. Her work is grounded in a rare combination of technical fluency, regulatory experience, and strategic governance design—qualities that enable clients to move decisively in high-stakes environments without sacrificing accountability.

Ms. Clarke is widely recognized for her leadership in the development of sustainable, risk-aligned governance strategies across sectors including financial services, pharmaceuticals, education, and AI-driven startups. She contributed to both the IEEE P3119 public sector AI procurement standard and the World Ethical Data Foundation’s Open Standard for Responsible AI. A former Director and Emeritus Fellow of For Humanity, she played a foundational role in the creation of their AI audit Body of Knowledge and remains an advocate for clear, testable governance criteria that support independent evaluation.

She is widely recognized for her precision in evaluating third-party digital risks and for developing structured approaches to AI use scoping—methods that help organizations determine where and how governance mechanisms must be applied. Her frameworks emphasize risk-appropriate oversight that is both scalable and sustainable, enabling teams to make defensible decisions under time and complexity pressure.

Ms. Clarke brings additional authority through her technical credentials, including CISSP and CIPP/E certifications, and has supported cybersecurity and compliance programs aligned with standards such as ISO 27001, Sarbanes-Oxley, and GDPR. Her experience spans roles in both consultancy and in-house leadership, including program design and execution for major insurers, universities, and tech vendors. She also brings experience with security governance in operational technology environments, including maritime cybersecurity and SCADA-adjacent systems.

A frequent speaker and mentor, Ms. Clarke has spent seven years as a guest lecturer at the University of Manchester, educating postgraduate students on supplier security governance and risk modeling for digital systems. She has contributed to the IASME Cyber Essentials Standard and has been named one of Computer Weekly’s most influential women in UK tech for three consecutive years (2022–2024), she is a respected voice on the future of AI assurance and the critical role of governance in enabling trusted innovation.

She holds a BCom (Hons) in Business from the University of Edinburgh and continues to support cross-sector efforts to develop governance methods that reflect not just legal requirements but operational realities and system-level consequences. At Logical AI Governance, she is central to building the next generation of AI governance tooling and practice—designed to ensure organizations remain accountable, adaptable, and aligned with public expectations as the AI landscape continues to evolve.
